Dr. Payne meets with you or you and your child to discuss medical and developmental history, and to talk about the current concerns. If appropriate, additional appointments for psychological evaluation to confirm or clarify diagnosis will help you and Dr. Payne agree on a course of treatment that could include educational interventions, psychotherapy, and/or medication management.
Dr. Payne specializes in psychological evaluations designed to provide information for diagnosis and enhance treatment planning. Dr. Payne focuses on evidence-based psychotherapy interventions using primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT).
Dr. Payne is a Prescribing Psychologist and Child and Adolescent Psychologist. Integrating psychiatric medication with other treatments can be more effective than medication alone, depending on severity of symptoms and diagnosis.
